2017年，中国五矿和国际海底管理局签署了为期15年的多金属结核勘探合同。作为拥有国际海底区域专属勘探合同的首个中国企业，中国五矿获得了东太平洋国际海底区域超过7万平方公里多金属结核资源勘探矿区的专属勘探权和优先开采权。根据勘探合同和中国五矿第二个五年阶段勘探工作计划，中国五矿将于2025年在合同区A-5区块开展采矿车单体试验。

根据国际海底管理局和中国政府的管理要求，在国际海底区域合同区开展采矿设备海试前，承包者应完成对应试验环境影响声明报告的编制和审查，经中国海洋事务主管部门批准后提交国际海底管理局，并在承包者官网按要求公开征求利益攸关方意见不少于1个月。

目前，中国五矿已完成采矿车单体试验环境影响声明报告（见附件），并获得国内相关主管部门批准，现按相关规定和流程开展利益攸关方协商公告。公告期自2024年4月2日起至2024年5月31日止。若有意见，请反馈至邮箱：cmc_eisconsult@163.com。

An announcement of stakeholder consultation on the environmental impact statement for the collector vehicle test in 2025 in the polymetallic nodule Contract Area of China Minmetals Corporation

In 2017, China Minmetals Corporation (Minmetals) signed a 15-year exploration contract for polymetallic nodule with the International Seabed Authority. In accordance with the exploration contract, Minmetals plans to carry out a test of a collector vehicle in Block A-5 of the contract area in 2025. Following the regulatory requirements of the International Seabed Authority, the contractor should complete an environmental impact statement for this collector vehicle test.

At present, Minmetals has completed the environmental impact statement for this testing of polymetallic nodule collector vehicle (see the Annex at the end of this page, with a Chinese version and an English version), is now conducting the stakeholder consultation announcement in accordance with the relevant regulations and processes.
